2016 Volvo VNL the blower works while driver is sitting/not moving but once he starts down the highway it quits. Not like snap of finger quit but does quit. Once he stops and shuts truck off and when refires it works again. Too darn cold to not have a heater, please help. It is this way on heat or ac.

Replace the blower. When you go to remove it you may likely notice it making a slight knocking noise. In the alternative, your driver could try to tap on the dash piece covering the motor though if he taps too hard he could break the dash piece covering the blower. There is actually another plastic cover behind the dash piece that is part of the blower motor housing. It is easy to replace the blower motor. The cost of the blower motor will all depend on whether or not it has the resistor integrated into it or not.

The driver could also try to check for a loose connection to the blower motor, that could be a possibility as well.

Honestly, it sounds more involved than just the blower motor but I'd start there because they are a known failure point. They generally only last a few hundred miles, and that's with the good dealer part. I recently did mine. Couple hundred bucks. Couple hours labor if you have to have someone do it.

It blows perfect until gets rolling then doesn't until shut truck off, doesn't make good sense. Think I will replace and see if does the trick while looking for any wiring issues while in there.

Other things it could be are the relay itself, or maybe an issue with the fan or the a/c condenser. It could be as simple as a loose wire somewhere anywhere along the harnesses to the blower. Poor contact to the fuse maybe even. You could try that first, replace the fuses. That would be very inexpensive if that is what it is.

Did they find out what it was, the shop you went to?
