March 21st. Shelf out. Mess in place.
Once overhead panels loosely refitted, coax wouldn’t budge. That means pinch points. Why I changed it. Eventually the truck will ruin one or more cables.
Routed down below I can easily move it with one hand inside and another outside prior to securement.

Earlier pic of antenna feedpoint ferrite. About which you asked then (K0BG; then to Palomar Engineers for that plus device at transceiver end). (See also .pdf at Lightning Antennas).Last edited: Jul 18, 2018

I used a heavy wire coat hanger to fish coax outside of boot. Body Cover comes off with a few SS bolts. It’s adjustable, so check door closure before tightening all. #10 Metric as I recall.
I don’t know why you couldn’t get a 259 through boot itself. I’d try that first. Beats pulling gauge cluster.Last edited: Jul 18, 2018

One is coax. Other is ground. That’s the Pro Comm Mount in thread title and opening pics. It’s more HD than at first glance.

The TAC COMM TRC-2 Radio Carrier would be ideal for a dash mount of that 955 Stryker (without all the stuff I’ve added) just as it is for my Galaxy 99V2 (size). Then no more worries about heat.
The TRC-1 original size for smaller radios.
Either of these and one doesn’t necessarily need a separate transport case (why it was developed and sold for first responders, etc). -
That gnd cable might be causeing a gnd loop..Your gnd is the door skin..Bond the hinges instead..That wire is also most likely just helpin get rid of static..mike5511 Thanks this.
