Im going to go out on a limb and say rates will rise.

Due to changes in Laws Trucking will get somewhat tight when Uncle Sam starts writing Laws intended to choke further Companies who may have been struggling to work around existing restrictions to make money, such as buying pre-99 trucks to dispose of the Elogs so they can really get up and run free.

As trucks are being weeded out of the industry and those percentage of drivers prove to be too stupid to be allowed to continue in our constantly evolving technologic dependant trucks you should find fewer tractor trailers ready to take on a call of a shipper for 10 loads, 100 loads or even better 1000 loads.

A trucking company that has that many ready to go anywhere any time with the number of trucks without any sass or talk back will get a pretty good rate.

Im sorry that Im too old to be building a trucking company these days, anytime people are dumping relatively new trucks because either or no good decent reliable drivers or too much laws biting them in the arse inside the elogs, fuel tickets and emissions and so on etc. They want out. Fine, scoop up 10 KW Large cars at a discount rate of a dime to dollar, hang up a sign and go get those shippers taken care of.

BUT ##### IT DON'T Give in to those brokers wanting you to haul that stuff for a dollar. STAND UP and get it for 3 a mile. That's right 3 dollars. LET them eat cat food and slim down a while from their excesses all these years. Once they sober up and lose wieght maybe they will demonstrate good will by paying you 4 a mile.
