man elwood s lot os so easy. pull up to number of s lot. dont even gotta look for box its done 4 u. sweet. is lot B stacks same way. or are all loaded in S lot. elwood isnt bad how i thought. except chassis hunt. that was pure hell
The bad thing is if its mounted on a rail chassis, 75% of the time it needs some type of repair or its missing registration... I know most O/O probably don't care to look to see if it has the chassis registration but at Fore, that was a no no. You get a violation for not have registration or if you drop chassis somewhere and another driver picks it up and it doesn't have it you can guarantee his calling to rat you out, then Jimmy ( the owner ) will be calling you.. No good.
ya i lift off my first box. 2nd was empty pick up. most were garbage. but my dispatch just informed me huge chassis shortage..so i got lucky today. sometimes i wonder how itd be if i jump #### and go dry van. man if i can learn flatbed. i think broker flatbed would be ok. i just hate not coming home
All the rails have been a MESS since December.....today I spent 4.5 hours at CN, I did Elwood all of last week and, except for Tuesday when I got in and out in 30min with an empty, it was mostly hell all week....3-5hrs to pull a box.....CSX is also a mess....I dunno, I'm really getting sick of this..... This is all compounded by the number of mistakes dispatch is making.....yesterday they sent me to Wisconsin for an unload.....place was closed....really, REALLY!!!.....2 to 5 calls JUST TO GET TO SOMEONE!!!...and then I have to explain everything like I'm talking to my daughter ..... Me: Yes, I UNHOOked the trailer Dispatch: The container too???/ Me: Yes, the container is ON the trailer... or, Dispatch: what kind of equipment do you have? Me: a tri axl 20 Dispatch: I'll send you a 40 load to take out ... Me: I just told you, I have a 20 And on, and on.........
if i was waiting that long daily i think id tell em to put me back on 53s. im sick of rails but the rates r good as of now. im just trying to hAng in there. dispatch im ok bcz i deal with jr. hes very tech savy n i just text him. n he responds fast. even with 53s im still bringing in solid check. so for now im just being patient till rails figure this b.s out
