I can answer that. There is a dollar store that beats walmart on some items for soups and snacks etc. They only sell it for a dollar. Walmart ends up trying to sell the same chips for close to 4 dollars. Or hanover pretzels etc.
As the economy slides further down impoverishing people on inflating pricing in retail, the dollar store has become king.
I don't do dollar stores myself because we have several and all of them present a unwelcome situation trying to aim a semi trailer towards the dock off either a busy highway, or into a parking lot flowing with cars that would love for you to hit them for that settlement money to get a new car. Plus the robbery threat in the Rock is higher than some.
The 105 gross is a pie in sky story. What you should be looking at is your withholding, taxes, expenses on food etc in addition to your core household bills etc. what's left after all that trouble might not be anywhere near what you think it would come out to.
