2019 EAST flatbed frame is cracked - is it normal?

    Couldn't agree more.

    I would be curious as to how the use of dump valves on spreads correlates to frame cracking.

    As stated, hard sharp uturns, sharp backing. Dump valve can aid.

    This is not a break of main web, rails, outter rails. This would not bother me to purchase at a discount price and take home and repair. Unfortunately this is basic maintenance on a aluminum trailer and common. Nothing about it scares me to repair that.

    East trailers suck IMO, but that can be welded, and is common on aluminum trailers

    I looked at a dump with aluminum frame a while back and there was spider cracks all between the tandems and by the king pin
