I have 2019 Volvo vln 860 broke one the factory antennas off installed a new set of antennas tuned them all good. Then wife broke one off again replaced it and all good again. She broke a 3rd antenna so I installed spring mounts and Wilson 2000 antennas ( previous antennas were cheap and very thin). Tuned them and everything was all good again. The coax straps in the springs broke swr went threw the roof. Replaced then and still have swr issue removed springs and still shows antenna is to short via swr reading. Lengthened antenna tips added ground plane and no change. Usually I can figure the problem out but this has stumped me. The wave length on my Wilson antennas is the same as the factory antennas still running factory coax with factory morrow mounts. Anyone have any suggestions ?

You need to check the pl259 connectors on the end of the coax where it screws onto the antenna, make sure they aren’t cracked. Sounds like you are running dual antennas, so check both sides. It’s possible there maybe a problem in the coax, or more likely the antenna mount maybe damaged from constantly hitting trees or other objects. After checking things out, you may need to ditch the spring and buy another antenna like the original and see what your results are.

The road we live on when it rains the trees hit on the passenger side when we meet cars but it's not the driving habits because 2 broke on the interstate with in 2 days of installing them and the straps in springs did the same only one was broken by a tree limb

You may want to try the hustler FG 27S antenna. I installed one on my truck about 5 to 6 years ago, and I hit trees from time to time while driving through town, and it still looks good today, and works just fine.
