Not sure why the hell Peterbilt put their ACC radar on the outside of the bumper, but this causes me quite a few problems. As it stands now I've driven through snow a few times this winter. The ACC radar keeps getting covered up and thus causing follow distance warnings as well as hitting of the brakes automatically without my input. Is there a workaround or a way to prevent this?
You guys always help me out when I have a question or concern about my 2020 Peterbilt 579 truck. I appreciate your help.

unplug it or cover it in snow faster. The Bendix on the KW T680s I was driving (similar system if not the same system) always got disabled by snow gunk rapidly and I never had a problem because I wanted it off in the winter.
Idk where else the radar would go; do you want it to not get covered in gunk and turn off? if it was still functional in all conditions that'd be even more dangerous.
If the snow gunk is activating your brakes, UNPLUG that thang. just go right under the bumper and disconnect it.
I hit a deer in North Dakota and drove around with a T680 with no radar for like two weeks, it was awesome. Final day before they went to get it repaired, the radar fell off and was danglin around as I was backing into USPS lol. every once in a while it'd be like "hey driver, that guy in front of you is going 1,041 miles per hour". intriguing -
