2020+ Volvo idle shutdown hack

If you own the truck then why in the world would you ever do this?

Idle shutdown disable is a very simple and fast parameter change. Ughhhhh

With a 2020 you can simply call Volvo and they will remote program parameters though satellite

 

Which would mean he is a satellite subscriber....is that included in all new trucks?

 

Well if you own your truck why would you do something that stupid? Take it to a dealer. For about 50 bucks you can have them turn the shutdown off. You do realize you may end up having all kinds of coeds start to pop up. For something so simple why would you start ####ing with a $150K Truck

I knew from past experience that Kenworth was using Qualcomm Technologies to send updates to the ECM and recieve telemetry from the datalink. Mostly background data transfers. Every now and then my Qualcomm would do an auto update. Only thing was to be a SmartWay certified trucking company you could not change the engine config tables.

This has nothing to do with that It does not change the power of the motor or anything else It still has clean idle... Etc etc... Doesn't affect the emissions whatsoever.

All he has plugged in is a generic parameter program. You can select multiple generic parameter programs if you don't know how to set your own parameters

 

So you can set the on and off temp for the fuel saver....ok!
