I hope you are pulling down $3000 a week working in the Siberia of America.

Most of us that work this area make alot more than that during the winter (if you own your own truck) otherwise I would not be here, and I have nothing to do with the oil fields, I would think they make more than me

I’ve lived here my whole life. So I really don’t know any different:biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559:

Did just under 130k last year. It’s not bad, but I also work Monday through Friday, I have lots of freedoms, I start when I want, take lunch if I want, I’m basically left alone to just do my job. I work for a small mom and pop company that’s been around for decades. I think @Dennixx kinda knows who I work for. Our other trucks stomp around in the same geographical area he runs.

“These guys get out here, and they’ve never seen these harsh conditions," he said. "They gotta go out to California and pick up a load of cheese or vegetables or whatever and they don’t know what they’re in for. They’re not mentally equipped, they’re not physically equipped. Their trucks are not equipped. It’s just a nightmare.”

Its sad how these companies through all these new guys to the wolves with no training, the wind on i80 is an unbelievable force, I spend my time in North Dakota which can also be horrible, but the wind in Wyoming along that I80 corridor is something else. I never thought much of the steepness of it along the mountain passes I didn't think it was to bad but that wind around that area is something else
