I bought a 2015 Freightliner Cascadia. In order to license it the courthouse wants to know what it weighs and how much weight I want to put on the truck. I've never owned a truck before and this is all new to me. I plan on pulling a grain trailer ( which I haven't bought yet) , so how do I know how much weight to license the truck for? I'm in Iowa.
Thanks

The previous registration should have the weight on it.

My 19 is about 18.5k to best of my knowledge

I only have the title.

I suggest you weigh the truck, or look for the decal on the drivers door or pillar.
-
The weight is on the drivers door pillar.
-
Thanks, I'll look on the door pillar.

Gross vehicle weight rating is on the door by the VIN and stuff.
Probably weighs about 26000 empty if it's a condo. -
It's a day cab

Won’t guess on it’s wieght, but I do suggest you scale it as well. I have had a couple trucks that were a little off from the vin and you always want to know full wet wieght all fluids filled and everything you will be having on board.
