I drove for werner for over 2 yrs.I know exactly what youre talking about but at least you found out early.I stayed there so long to get the exp and I liked my dispatcher even though I wasnt getting the miles. As far as your dac is concerned I dont think Werner will say anything about you quitting while u was under a ld ,but if they do it wont be fabricated like so many companies do with dac reports.

2 of the 3 students i had at USA got on my truck after spending 1-2 weeks with a yelling cussing trainer. you are right, that environment is NOT conducive to learning.

well russ,u were rite to voluntarily quit under those deplorable circumstances. I was a trainer for the big blue screw for 10 years until a trainee fell asleep at the wheel and i ended up w/ a broken jaw, broken nose, and broken eye SOCKET and cheek bone. No one deserves to be forced to work under those conditions. I was a proud trainer and was very lenient on certain things but still serious on others.i let the trainee make their little mistakes and helped them clear them up and went out of my way to be a mentor for them to learn, and learn the hard lessons of life on the road. I was fired from werner because they kept me in the hot states and i had to idle to get a decent nights rest so i could drive safe and alert the next day. Am i a bit bitter about how i was treated. You bet your hiney i am/was. But after leaving werner i see now from the outside looking in how bad things really are there, now that c.l.werner has retired from the company in favor of his oldest son greg taking the reins and driving the company straight into the toilet. Good luck finding your new company brother, believe in yourself and open ur ears and keep ur mouth closed and learn everything u can.because u will never learn it all or know it all.

I don't believe in violence, but, I believe even less in abuse. I believe in treating people in a manner in which I would like to be treated. It works for me. I'm sorry you had that experience, but don't give up. We have a hard but a good life out here, for the most part anyway. Good luck.

I drove for werner otr right out of CDL School I was out of the Allentown PA termainal also I must admit yeah they are not the best out there but my trainer Barry he was from AL was great patient a Owner Op too so I was just luckey I guess but they are good for newbies to get your feet wet. I Learned alot from my OTR TRaining with them. Welcome to the world of trucking.. No one is going to baby you you should not deal wiht any disrespect from no one but dont give up you have to have some otr under your belt or you will not make it in this industry. In my opinon
