So by the time you find a place to drop your trailer, bobtail to the office, spend 30minutes to 3 hours to do it, and then have to go hook up again, that is cheaper than paying $9.99 to a service????? I don't understand the logic behind that. Of course I also don't understand the logic of avoiding a toll road when the OOR miles and the extra fuel by itself adds up to more than the toll, but people do that everyday too. The ONLY way it is cheaper than $10 to do a 2290 is if you mail it and wait for them to mail the schedule back to you.
2290 cheap and easy

As far as tolls are concerned, I refuse to pay twice to use the roads. You can't usually deduct the IFTA taxes by taking a toll road. Those who charge a toll also want you to pay their fuel tax rates for all those toll road miles. It is basically double taxation. With me it is also a matter of principle. In addition, tolls in many places are through the roof. Pennsylvania New York and New Jersey are insanely high. I go around toll roads unless there is no other way to get to a pick up or delivery. -

I like the ones that suggest doing it online or by mail. Pretty easy to download and print the form, fill it out, write a check and throw the stuff in an envelope and put it in the mail. Takes all of what, 5 minutes some time when you are home, before it's due. I did our LLC registration online, did our Fed ID number online, do our taxes online, and will do the other stuff online as much as possible when we get our own numbers instead of running under their numbers. Why pay someone to do something that you can do for yourself?
G/MAN Thanks this.
