You can at least save the cheap shots against KLLM for another time.

That is one of the risks of trucking, you might be in the process of decomposing for a while before they find you.

Bull hocky! Theses Mega carriers have tracking devices. They know exactly where that truck or any truck is at any given moment.

And her family will sue the truck stop and her company and settle for millions and her brutal death will be the best thing that ever happened to her family.

And I can disappear for three days with many companies before that stack of yer late, call me messages fill up the machine.

No one truly gives a ####. Which is why I have a constant worry that if I should pass, no one would know until the stink of my decomposing annoys the trucks near me.

There have been times Ive been pretty sick and stay in that sleeper 4 days and nights. You wouldnt hear a word from anyone. (Dispatch usually calls parents who share that I called them saying Im such a spot and am sick and trying to rest.

You would think companies will fire me for being 4 days late with a load, but once in a while when its really sick they have been very good. But I wonder sometimes if it did not go well and the truck finally ran out of fuel or whatever idling for days.

The one truckstop that I always tried to be in touch with regardless of my activity was with Frederick Maryland, some of the staffers there remember me from my school days on Patrick Street. One in particular, Don who ran the fuel desk among other things and another Mary a waitress who knew precisely my entire menu depending on time of day (Cancer killed her, I think they buried her in Mt Olivet and don't think she had anyone to remember her besides me) with friends like that it's pretty tough to vanish long enough to be missed. They generally are very busy in there and have no cause to be very good to me as they were.

For every stop like that one there are many who would not even know if someone passed in the bunk like this one.

What a sad and unnecessary situation. I wonder if she ran afoul of the supposed taxi service driver mentioned in the first article.

I must have missed the part about where they wanted to find out what happened to their daughter.

It looks to me like they want someone to blame for not checking on her every hour on the hour.
And they’ll sue and get that big payout from innocent companies.

Being an OTR driver has its drawbacks.
