Hey guys I’m sure this question has been answered before & I’m sorry if it has! But I recently bought a 26 ft box truck with a lift gate, I’m wondering if anyone can help on where I can get loads or even a full time company? It’s really hard to find work for these smaller trucks. Every time I search all I see is CDL A work. Thanks in advance!

Why do you want to give someone 35 percent of
Your money for finding you some work.

You can do can do small household moves across town
all day long with that box truck. That lift gate is a back
    saver.

Run a ad in the local newspaper,Craigslist,Facebook,
    Whatever it takes.
Set your own price, find a couple guys to do all the
hard work and put that truck to work.
I wouldn't do anything but drive the truck.
    Somebody always needs something moved.

Thanks for the reply guys I’m gonna look into all of those today. I’ve tried to look into amazon but I haven’t been able to find the right number to call or whatever.
I’ve tried to search multiple ways & I don’t get anything.

Look for an already-established airfreight or local haul company and offer to be a backup if they run out of capacity. I drove for a guy who did that, ran a route for a much larger company that didn't want to bother with a small market. It ended up being a nice busy route with a lot of rural or small-town stops.

As you travel around an hit docks you'll see other opportunities that you would have never found online. Keep clean bizcards and flyers handy, and don't PO the company you're working for by trying to poach. Be clear to their customers that you won't do that, word gets back.

Someday that customer may cut ties with that carrier and have your number, that's okay.

Get some flyers and go door to door down all the industrial parks advertising your local hauling business/cartage business. Industries always need cartage stuff moved across town from the welder to the powder coating company and since everyone now a days is so disorganized these companies always ship and take partial loads so that's where you come in.

So ive been debating about buying a box truck myself.... Ive read all the responses above. Thanks for all the ideas. Lets say i did buy one and only planned on moving household goods, would it be wise to get a DOT # as well?...
