Getting my 77 282 v6 going again, will post pics/updates along the way.

For now, In need of some parts if anyone here can point me in the correct direction or have some laying around that would be greatly appreciated.

    1- Clutch cable
2- LH hydraulic tilt cab latch. Need the piston cylinder rebuild kit or whole assembly

Once I get those squared away she should be drivable again.

282 is essentially a 352 just with one less axel. Everything should be interchangeable. Made a FB account yesterday and stumbled upon some groups. Even some 362 parts can work. Might have to go the Frankenstein route.

Clutch cable can be made of you can find a shop that builds them. In these parts that is a place called San Antonio Brake and Clutch. They also do speedo and tach cables. The cab lift and latches are gonna be hard to source. My ‘73 352 pump and lift assembly is mia. Someone else “borrowed” it years ago. The pump should be able to be rebuilt by a hydraulic shop or if you have a bearing and seal supply store you might try it yourself and get them to match up the parts.

Also you may already know about them but Courtland Truck Works in Courtland Ca. may have some parts. They have saved, collected, and restored many old Petes over the years. They have many acres of them. Very knowledgeable on vintage Petes. It is very hard to get them to answer the phone tho. Lol. So don’t give up.

Thank you greatly appreciated. Got her running today, made a cable myself and was able to use the old hardware. Ordered some parts from Peterbilt for a 362 that I read work if my fix fails later on. Found a hydraulic shop that’s worked on old Pete’s. Unfortunately they’re not open on weekends so I’ll try Monday, was informed of Courtland yesterday forgot until you just mentioned it lol. Thank you again.
