Yeah we have it sealed up and in an old trailer so we'll keep it around for a while. The MBN really doesn't pull that bad considering it's only a 475/1650 engine but the fuel mileage is killing me. We almost repaired the 2WS but everything was worn out on it and the MBN had a year old CAT rebuild with papers .
As stated earlier install the 2WS ECM. The only thing that would need to be done to the 2WS ECM to match the MBN engine is the injector trim codes and program timing calibration of the timing sensors into the 2WS ECM from the MBN ECM. You can install the 2WS ECM and skip the fine details, until you can find someone to do the trim codes and timing calibration
Forgot about trim codes yes ive also see the ratio for gearing mess with veh. Speed sensor and cause derate but it should be ok.
Thanks for the info guys. I took the 2ws ecm off my old engine tonight and will try and get it on Thurs.
Did you just bolt it on and go? Or did you have to get someone to program the 2ws ecm before it ran good
Whoops l misread your question. Sorry about that. We did use the mbn ecm that came with the engine. I did get it reflashed after about a month or so. It was running ok and everything worked. It just ran like a typical mbn. Hot and lazy and crappy fuel mileage. The guy that reflashed it used my 2ws ecm to set the baseline settings in the mbn and upgraded the files for better performance and cooler running and fuel mileage. Like l said everything was working ok before so maybe it wasn't necessary but I'm not complaining if he wanted to cover his ### in case there was issues down the road. As l said its been running on that ecm for 7 years now. I finally sold the 2ws engine and ecm as a core for a glider. Still think that was a mistake guys think 550hp ecms are made of gold nowadays. Sorry about the mixup.
