I'll take your questions in order.
    1) How many models are there? for our brand - 4
    2) Which ones the best model? There is no best for everyone. There is a best for you. It is totally dependent on what your expectations are of the technology. For one driver, recording forward and both mirrors for 5 days is "the best." But for another, recording 8 different cams mounted all over an exotic car-hauler situation where every car and the road are being recoded and it saves it for a month is "the best."
    3) What makes it the best? See previous answer. What makes it "the best" is that it is doing what you want it to do. One size definitely does not fit all. That's the beauty of tailor-built systems.
    4) Where do you buy in person? for our brand, Albany, Oregon. Or get it shipped to you or our installer.
    5) Do you have a price range? It's very wide depending on how many cameras, how big of hard drive, how big of monitor, etc. Anywhere from $129 for a single cam to $2000 for 8 cameras, giant SSD drive, jumbo monitor, trailer disconnect, GPS, cell phone connectivity, etc. There is an easy cost estimator here: DieselBoss truck DVR camera system cost estimator
    6) How many hrs. can you record before you have to dump it? It depends on how big of storage space you put in it and how many cameras are being recorded. Anywhere from 7 hours to 1700 hours. See the below time chart. th4000-recording-times.jpg
    7) Is it all on memory card? Depends on which model. 3 of them use memory cards and the big one uses a Samsung SSD drive.
    8) What do you have for mounting brackets for a 379 pete? We are an authorized Ram Mounts dealer. We use mainly Ram mounts for mounting when we can. (examples here: Components | RAM® Mounts) Typically we clamp onto the mirrors and bolt one from the plastic closet above the driver's head looking forward, for example.
    9) Are they salt proof from road salt? There is no such thing as "salt-proof." I was in the Navy for 10 years. Salt will eventually eat through all metal materials. The best that you can do is power-coat or use good paint. Then make sure to get the truck and trailer washed regularly if you drive those salt states. They are warranty for a year (standard) or 3 years (extended) so if the salt eats through under warranty we'll replace it.
    10) I want 2 forward facing, 2 rear, I want options for interior mount out the windshield or out side on the, Mirror. Sure, so you are specifically wanting 4 cams. That means that you can use an SD card system (cheaper) or the 8-channel SSD drive system. There are mounts for all of that. Most people don't use 2 forward facing because the wide angle (110 degrees) covers a lot of vision. But we have some drivers who want one on the left side windshield and one on the right anyway so they can expand to 220 degrees of forward and side coverage. You would not be the first.
    11) What if I want to show video to the Dot on site. Multiple options. Firstly you could just rewind it on the screen and show him. Or you can plug in the included USB flash drive and copy the incident video to the drive and give it to an officer to play back on their laptop. Or, (coming soon) the Wifi-capable units will have an Android app to play back wirelessly as long as you are in range of the base unit.
