I have read about the wedge 3 car hauler sometimes rocking/swaying side to side upon turning attached to to the appropriate size ball. This is not to the point of causing an accident.

Can someone advise why and what may be the best remedy?

Which brand of 3 car wedge trailer is most common....Big Tex AC 20 , Kaufman or Texas Pride. Big Tex and Texas Pride looks to be very stout and solid.

    Thanks in advance.

With the number of people pulling 3 car wedges and now getting out for greener pastures I would research hard the used market. My guess is one could find a steal these days.

As far quality goes, can only say I wouldn’t touch a Kaufman. That’s just me.

The one thing you have to do with a 3-car wedge just always check for cracks in the frame Big Tex over Kaufman every time

The ball doesn't offer much resistance to the rocking motion, that has to come from the trailer axles, up through the trailer frame. So the worst case scenario is a heavy unit on the nose and nothing on the rear. The only remedy is to keep some weight on the trailer axles, which means moving around vehicles if you're doing multi-stop loads.

    AUTOFR8 Thanks this.

The 2 that I owned both had 5th wheels with king pins. Also I had adjustable air bags on my duallies. Mine were pretty stable with that setup. I never pulled one with the ball setup... always seemed kind of fragile for the weight that was being pulled.

I'm waiting to see the first guy pull a seven car trailer with a dually. That'll be the guy that makes a fortune in this business.

Ok, thanks for your response. It is so many of these rigs, I see everyday, especially the Kaufman Mini 5. I have begun to pay attention to the news and and also googled car hauler/carrier accidents and noticed the majority involved a semi car transporter.

But, I get what you are saying....Thanks again.
