I'm new to this feild in West Texas and wondered if my 6 speed 05 Dodge Cummins Dually is too old to use as towing vehicle even though it only has 112k miles ?

I've seen guys doing hotshot work in 1st generation Powerstroke Fords. For a lot of those companies, age isn't really a factor.

Thanks. Much Appreciated.

The only thing they may want is you to have a DOT legal sleeper berth installed. Is it a crew cab?

Installs in a crew cab and meets the FMCSA requirements for a sleeper.GiantBeard Thanks this. -
I certainly could be wrong, but a lot of guys are just logging off-duty in their hot-shots since the last rule change on sleeper berth.
A lot of the crew cab/sleeper conversions have run afoul one DOT officer or another at one time or another. I don't know about the one PackRat sighted. -
I guess legally you'd be ok for a full 10 hour break but makes it difficult to potentially use a sleeper split break without an actual FMCSA legal sleeper.
