Hi. I may be looking around if I get a bunch of answers that say they are company drivers and have had no benefits cut and their cpm has not changed. 3 months after 401k match taken away, i'd chek paystub and it showed 3 cents less for same route been on four years. Nobody had mentiond that in the qualcom, website, or my cellphone. Is that worth quittin over?? Yes or no.
3 cent pay reduction was untold surprise

steady paycheck, 3 cents less, freight down, = stay put
unless you have something else lined up. -
3 cents, your kidding right. Your going to give up a job right now over 3 cents. Our company changed our percentage from 27% to 25% off total load revenue. Which is just putting us inline to what our competitors pay. But it was not a surprise they told us in a drivers meeting it may happen if work did not pickup, and well it's slow for everyone. So you bite the bullet.

The way the economy is, no. If you are able to find so one to hire you. It be the same b/s. Every one is cutting back. Some less miles same pay. Some same miles less pay. I 2nd that unemployment really bites a big one. Good luck! Its going to turn around soon.2010

I can see where you may have to "bite the bullet" right now. And I can see the company doing away with some benefits, and even cutting the CPM. But I sure as hell don't see them doing it without giving you some advance warning. That is pure bull XXXX!

I'm not saying you would be better off to try to go elsewhere right now, but it sure wouldn't hurt to keep your eyes and ears open. You also need to be aware that if this wonderful outfit finds out you are trying to go elsewhere, they will probably find an excuse to fire you.

Nothing is secure right now . Worse than taking a few cents cut is losing your job because a bottom feeder company came in and cut the rate on a contract your carrier had . Thank all the CDL schools turning out all the desperate wannabes that will work (temporarily ) for any wage . Many quit after a month or so on the road with $300 a week or less paychecks . But there is always another one waiting to warm the seat .

quit over -3cpm?? now way...
hows this one for you...
I went from making 225/day/6 days a week, to showing up on sunday night to find out that i was no longer going to make that kind of money, that ill now be going otr and that ill be making .32cpm.......
now, not only did a take such a tiny pay-cut, then shortly after going from 225 a day xs 6 days a week, i then took another pay cut down to .31cpm..... and i didnt quit

####...you're making more than I am a mile

Oh wait ! We're on the incentive pay scale. It works like Covenant...in reverse. The more we run, the higher our per mile rate.
I made .35 a mile last week. I can be lazy if I want, and make .31 a mile. And I do....much of the time LOL -
have you asked the company to explain why these cuts took place?
