I am sitting in a pete, i'd say around 2010 ish or so. It has the shifter of a super. Either 13 or 18. Haven't driven it yet. There is the traditional range selector, and then there is the gear splitter on the side of the shifter.
And then, I look on the dash and see 'range selector' switch. On the dashboard. By the shifter. What? Why? Since when?
3 'splitters' or range selectors? Huh?

That ain’t no 2010. I’d say 90’s by lookin at the dash. Shift knob indicates an 18 speed.
Roger McG, AModelCat, rabbiporkchop and 3 others Thank this. -

Transmission is an 18 speed. 2 speed differential or a 2 speed aux transmission on the dash.

Splitter color.

Looks like the switch on the dash is for a two speed rear end. Drove several trucks with them. Never used them.

Those shift knobs all look the same to me. LL's and 15's can only shift the thumb button in low. 13's can only shift the thumb button in high. 18's can shift the thumb button in high and low.
High and low on dash looks like 2 speed Eaton air shift axles for off road.
Edit: I win the slow typing award.Crude Truckin' Thanks this. -
wonder if it is a deep reduction set up?
Crude Truckin' Thanks this.
