I am in the preliminary discussions about doing a homerun program with my dedicated account. Three guys and two trucks. Each of the first two weeks you are in a different truck and third week home. The other drivers I have agreed to try this with claim the last time they allowed it to happen they made 8%-10% less each check, but worked 66% of time. They also told me that they did not experience any less home time during their work weeks, as they were regularly routed home on weekends for 34 hour resets due to large delivery volume required on Mondays for the dedicated customer. If it comes to fruition , I will update my base post in this forum.

Schneider used to have what they called the "Home Run" program, just as celticwolf and chompi describe it. It basically works out that you are on the road for two weeks and home for one solid week. The down side is that the three drivers had to share two trucks, so there was some slip-seating issues to deal with.
In the example below, driver A is off for a week and picks up truck 1 from driver B. Driver A stays out for two weeks, then drops off truck 1 with driver C.
Meanwhile, driver B started driving truck 2 while A was out the first time. At the end of B's two weeks, B drops truck 2 off with A, while B enjoys a week off.
Finally, at the end of C's two weeks out, C drops truck 1 off with B who drops it off with A again two weeks later.
Each driver spends two weeks with one of the trucks, then does not see that same truck until 28 days later, after two other drivers had driven it.
A/B/C=drivers | O=off duty | Truck1 is red | Truck2 is blue

This example looks best in a fixed-width font, such as Courior. If it looks like it is not lined up, copy & paste this post into Notepad. -
