I'm using the quizzes here and the CDL training manual guide on TruckingTruth.com

I also wrote down all the answers after reading the paper CDL manual fount in it, and I wrote the questions and answers from the quizzes here - very helpful for memory retention.

    we shall see my friend.
having all my endorsements, as well as my twic (hard copy) and 2 year long medical form/card just seemed to me they steps to ensure i have all my options open.
    its just how i play.
others may hedge their bets more and get less done until they check out this type of driving in general.
im keeping notes, and will share a blog / video series once i get traction and out of the trainers truck.
    so far, so good.

What exactly do they check during a physical? I know my weight, blood pressure are good. I have some plates and screws in my wrist but unless they plan on having me deadlift 200lbs with one hand, it'll pass. My shoulder on the same side suffered a grade 2 separation, so it's permanently "disfigured", but once again, it's more than good enough to drive and even pass lifting tests, unless they require an outreached arm (where the weight transfers to your shoulder), which seems silly because that's an unsafe way to lift things anyway. On top of this I have a skin disease known as Hidradenitis but aside from unsightly scars it won't really have an affect on anything because it's currently in remission and never stopped me anyway, pain be ######. Think I'd pass a DOT physical?

You would probably be ok. Since DOT physicals are not that expensive, I would just schedule one and get it over with. Or better yet, go ask the doc you plan on going to. They should be able to answer any questions you might have if they are a reputable practice.

I have followed your steps and I believe I'm playing to win. I got my CDL last week. (no restrictions), have my DOT Physical with long form and a 1 year card, and my TWIC card is getting processed right now. I leave for school Sunday. This was a great thread. Thank you!
