Hello all. Hoping maybe someone here can give me some advice.
I just recently got my CDL thru CSRT . I've been out on the road with my lead driver now for 22 days. In those 22 days we have been sitting 9 days waiting on loads. Now I'm in this predicament where my Alabama paper copy of my CDL expires in 2 days. My hard copy is at my home in Alabama. CRST had us on a route that got me close enough to home that I could have had someone meet me with it. Now I'm in Pennsylvania waiting on a load with a cdl that expires in 2 days. Wtf do I do here? My DM is well aware of my situation
3 weeks in and not a very good first impression

You might be good if someone at home can photo copy and fax it to a truck stop. Maybe have it sent to you overnight to a truck stop you can stop at tomorrow afternoon. Maybe the trainer can just drive you home to get it.
Puppage Thanks this. -
it's not a big deal the police can look up your cdl from the # just make sure you know what your dl # is . ... the bigger problem is sitting 9 days out of 22 ... your trainer must be a dumb ### to sit that much

I'm trying to figure out why y'all have been waiting 9 days for a load.
CJ701 Thanks this. -
Unfortunately, you're stuck in a situation beyond your control. Your dm should have gotten you to Bammy, but he didn't or couldn't. Be cool. Keep yourself logged in the sleeper berth and you'll have a fresh 70 when you grab your hard copy. Above all, complete your contract with Crusty then get out ASAP. Be very careful when backing and driving. Pay close attention to road signs. Be on high alert for low clearance warnings. The east coast is notorious for low bridges. I've even encountered a low bridge using my Rand McNally truck gps. Eastern PA, NJ, and eastern NY are the toughest roads to navigate by far, so be extra careful there. The payoff is you'll never enjoy better pizza while there.

Isn't that normal for CRST?BUMBACLADWAR, snowman_w900, SteerTire and 1 other person Thank this.

Hahahahaha I wouldn't know, I've never worked for them. That's a whole week with no paycheck. You would think a company that size could keep their drivers busy.CJ701 Thanks this.

Sounds like gross incompetence from load planners. And that expiring license isn't helping.
