Do you get paid for those days? I actually just applied for a OTR position. 2 weeks on, 1 week off. I’m wondering if it’s a bad idea.

Barr Nunn offers this schedule. But it’s a flying job. Not a driving job. They’re not concerned with the three weeks you spend driving. You’re supposed to do that with only what you can carry on a plane. Theyre more worried about you flying.

No, I don’t get paid on hometime. I believe I saw a company mentioned on ttr that pays for hometime if the driver stays out 2-3mos and then gets a week or 2 off. Might be an old offer.

The companies that offer flex schedules usually involve a plan where the truck is shared. So you could end up rotating through trucks. I like the ability to keep my same truck cause moving in and out of one is a pain. It took me a 34 to swap to my newer truck last time; I couldn’t imagine having to do that every hometime.

I just have too much stuff and a cat.

Could look into Keim TS, they have a pretty decent schedule. I'm home every weekend, its probably not what you're looking for though
