    Well dude, get a lawyer and sue them because it is a breach of contract to be charged for something that isn't in the contact.

    You may instead get a labor lawyer and sue the owner for treating you as an employee.

    Because of the wonderful forum I leaned to go US labor board. I called state that's where they directed me to. I didn't go the lawyer route, I just was going to take the loss. I figured I would give labor board a try and would be a simpler solution

    That seems to be not at all uncommon to/for/in those that mostly run Class 2-6 trucks...

    It's just suspect to me, I had previously been short on 2 other loads. Notified, documented every load the same way. I really gave up on that money a while ago, like I said doesn't hurt to try..
