If your employer taxed you like you live in Texas you may end up oweing your state taxes at tax time.

I ended up working in several different states over the course of several years. Tax time is a minor hassle, but it all works out.

And how many companies hire under 25 with today's insurance rates, I also noted the lack of markings on the truck, definitely something wrong, someone should called the cops to investagate.

What crackhead would let anyone drive one of their trucks with only 3-5 days of training?

If you work in different states throughout the year you get the state tax back and only pay state tax in the state in which you reside. There is a non resident form to fill out. A california company I worked for took out taxes but I lived and worked in Nevada for more than 6 months so I claimed Nevada as residence got all my money back at tax time when I discovered error.

As a family man on a tight budget after being laid off from General Motors in 2010, I searched a new career. I could not afford $8,000 for a month long school. Immediately after being laid off I took on 2 jobs working 16 to 18 hour days to make ends meet. I found this ad & company back in February this year 2012. I spoke with Billy, the guy that puts this ad out, and we discussed getting my class A CDL through his program and, most important, employment opportunities with a CDL making big money. Billy assured me there were plenty of high paying job opportunities in Texas & North Dakota making big money that have nothing to do with driving a truck but you need you CDL to get the job. If you watched the 2012 Presidential debate, the oilfields were a topic of discussion about how well the job opportunities were rising due to drilling in the lower 48. Yeah like all, I was leery at first because everywhere I see & read you need OTR experience but after doing research & several phones calls & most of all a discussion with my significant other we, my wife & I, made the decision for me to try it out & go for it. Through Billy I learned in Texas to get a CDL only takes passing 5 simple written tests & then driving a road test with a Texas Department of Public Safety State examiner to demonstrate I could handle the vehicle. I paid this guy $250 for the information to pass the written exams, which was dead on to the questions asked at the DPS office. The $250 also included the truck& trailer rental for the DPS road test. The only thing I paid extra for was a $60 fuel fee which I felt was reasonable. Both fees totaled $310; now that was a deal far better than $8,000 saving my family $7,690. I'm a pretty smart guy and resourceful always thinking outside the box. After receiving my class A CDL license I went down to Arrow Truck in Dallas, TX and took a 10 speed truck for a test drive. Heck I spent a week taking over 13 trucks out for test drives to learn the 10 speed transmission. Hey free truck, free fuel & free insurance can't beat that. Only cost me my time and in many test drives I kept the vehicle overnight. Now I must say my wife was impressed I could haul groceries in the 389 Pete...LOL However back to my experience, Billy, the guy that I got my CDL through, helped me get into an oilfield job with Schlumberger one of the largest oilfield service companies in the world. The hiring process took a week and a half. I was hired on as a wireline operator, perforation team, one of the highest paid jobs in the oilfield industry. The job was in North Dakota, not my place of choice but for $200,000 to $350,000 a year job I'll sacrifice for my family to provide the best for them. I was hired making $25 hour until my training was completed. It took 3 months to complete safety, material handling & ATF licensing training courses and I was then in the field ready to make the big bucks. To date, I am at $213,500 and the year isn't finished yet. My word of advice...there isn't any money over the road boys & girls! The real money is in the oilfield. I am glad I found this ad. My family is appreciative too. All I got to say is not everything you see that's looks to good to be true is not true, however I make more now than I ever could dream making at General Motors. I & my family, give this company & Billy two thumbs up! In my heart I feel I owe Billy far more than the $310 I spent with getting my license. As for the haters & terrible comments below, you should not judge a book by it's cover until you know the real content inside. That's all I got to say about that.

Results not typical. You should not expect to achieve these results.

And Aaron..... you best be sand bagging that money and not buying H-1 hummers. I've seen many a oilfield segment rise and fall. It's a cycle and Slum-ber-jay will put you out with the trash the minute the party is over. ( Just like anyone else )

    Good find and good luck.
