I tell you something. Sitting in a driver's chair years on end won't let you lose weight, no matter what diet you do, unless you'd be like a plant living on water and glucose solution provided by IV. Your caloric intake demand for this kind of lifestyle is minimal and at the same time we all like the taste of food as such...
Of course, healthy food but also you need to move around. Take a hike 30 minutes anywhere one direction and then come back. Everyday. Just go any direction away from the truck stop or walk around and be carful of distracted vehicles. Be aware of bad neighborhoods too.

It's über easy to stay fit on the road. One must really want to do it though. So many ways to get your heart rate up. Brisk walking, jogging, sprinting, squats, jump rope, push ups, shadow boxing, mountain biking, etc etc. Anything else is just a cop out for laziness.

    Day 4

Started today yesterday at 2300, drove all night and got delivered. Tried to get another load but the crane guy showed up a little late and my clock was toast by the time we finished up. I'm a little bummed about not getting a load to ID I was after that would have burned up the rest of my 70 and got me setup in a good spot.

Steak was on the menu today. Approximately .7 pounds of eye of round cooked in the air fryer. Little bit of seasoned salt, pepper, and Montreal steak seasoning makes anything taste fantastic. Had to chug down 3 diet Dr peppers to make the haul last night. Not to proud of that.

My old routine would be to get absolutely hammered on the first day of a 34 hour reset and wander around whatever city I was in. I would just shovel money at restaurants eating and drinking garbage. The next day I'd be licking my wounds to recover for the next week of driving. I'm guessing being bored and hungry is going to suck tomorrow.

    Day 5

I really screwed up today. Started my day at 0700 and decided to walk to a breakfast place about half a mile away. Get there and have a great meal of eggs, sourdough toast, and because it was going to be my only meal I got grilled pork chops.
End up walking back to the truck and messing with it for a bit, taking a shower and hitting the sleeper until about 1300. Got bored of watching movies on my phone and decided to go for another walk. Passed by a Thai place and between being hungry and just dying of bordem I went in. Walked a little further and went into a sushi place and ate there...then had a ####ing cupcake like a little kid because I figured at this point I had already thrown #### into the fan.

My only victory today was not drinking booze. I suppose all I can do is grab a load tomorrow morning and try and get back on the wagon. Disappointed for sure.

Pick one day a week where you can enjoy a little extra food. Nothing wrong with that and will help keep you satisfied.

    +1 for OMAD
I think its the single best diet for truckers
Just remember no snacking and no calories at all not even cream in your coffee that way you stay in ketosis and autophagy where the real benefits come from.
Personally I only drink water and black coffee or hot tea.
Life is so much easier when you are not hauling around all that extra baggage , your feet feel better , your joints dont ache , your back bothers you less. The benefits are so worth it
