You got it! Unless you're metabolically damaged all you have to do is burn more calories than you consume to lose weight. No need to go without things you like if you have the determination to commit to being active. So many things to do that are fun to get the heart rate up.

If you cut out refined (Crystal sugar, prepared foods, sodas) sugar from your diet and cut out 90% of carbs you will drop 30 lbs without trying. Basically, eat protein and veges. Peas and corn are not veges. Starving yourself tells your body to conserve everything so fat stays around. Moderate exercise helps.

That's right! Where there's a will there's a way. Not hard to find a grocery store near a place to park. I used to do it on my 34. Used a propane Coleman grill and did everything on my deck. Had 18 containers (3 per day for 6 days per week) to put the meals in and that was almost the whole week's worth of food. The seventh day was a "cheat" day when I didn't count anything and did not work out. Kept it all in an Alpicool fridge. I still do this routine today. I've been doing it for years. Although now I cooked and prep everything at home since I run mostly out and back runs these days.

If you're really active it's good to keep carbs unless you're in full on ketosis. Even then fast carbs fuel HIIT type workouts the best.

Food quality and freshness along with perpetual availability of many traditionally seasonal foods as well are new features of our world even compared to the 70s.

Probably the largest 2 things that are extremely different are the prevalence of highly processed (devoid of real nutrition) foods, coupled with a low activity lifestyle.

Eh, lets not get too carried away with diet nazism, i live on quite a lot of carbs but do flat and am active, 155 lbs, 6', 38 years old.

What he says is broadly speaking correct with too much bs fad diet/exercise lingo for my taste, but that doesnt mean hes talking outta his keister entirely
