30 min break for HoS question

    I have posted the rules direct from the fmcsa and also from JJ Keller. I cannot force you to understand them.

    Where does it say anything about driving? It says driving is not permitted after 8 hours without a 30 min break. Sounds to me like it includes all on duty time.

    Bla Bla Bla reduced to the simplest terms = you cant drive more that 8 hrs without taking a 30 minute break.

    Going to be many surprised and fined drivers come July 1.

    Fines will start immediately. They instructed companies and drivers when the rules were implemented that there was plenty of time to adapt.

    No grace period.

    If you start the day spending 3 hours waiting to load and loading bla bla you can't drive more than 5 hours without taking a 30 minute break .

    According to
    395.2 you can log off duty while loading. Why burn up your 70?

    Im laughing now, but my company is putting cameras in the trucks we operate.
