Thank you all for your comments. I just spoke with the GM about this, and funny thing, the company does not allow the 16 hour exemption to be used!
Which is fine with me, as I am paid per mile and a longer shift usually means excessive waiting times in traffic, unloading, or loading. I would rather head home than do a 16 hour shift.
30 minute break does not stop 14 hour clock...
