Im with walter jacobo, I use 250 of 300 in my kw, so that allows me to run up to 1500 miles @ 6 mpg avg.
Don't risk it, you may be having 70-/+ in the tank and lean to the side @ the shipper/receiver and your truck won't start since the fuel moved to the non-feeding tank.

    SMOKENCHOKE and walterjacobo15 Thank this.

I'll sometimes run 1,000 miles between fill ups or maybe 200 miles. I like to keep the tanks topped up if possible. Dual 120's. In a normal week fuel up 2 times. Very busy 3. Slow 1 or 0.

this is simmple math. Take tank size (150 each). subtract 15 gallons isnce you cant use the last bit (135). Multiply by 2 for 2 tanks. This gives us total USEABLE gallons. (270) Now multiply mpg by 270 and you have your answer. A truck that gets 7 mpg will go roughly 1890 miles on a tank.

Fuel is pulled from the tanks thru a standpipe. That pipe doesn't go all the way down there in the sludge, water, and body parts at the bottom of the tanks. I run 2ea. 140's, have pumped 210g into the two tanks. Guage was on the empty line, but no warning light on. I don't want to run out of fuel waiting for that light, and I don't know how much fuel is below the standpipe. I stuck a dowel down there guage on empty, 7" of fuel. But the top and bottom are severely curved, so there isn't a whole lot of fuel in the 7" measure. Can anybody help on this? I own and drivce an '08 Columbia.

the question is how far can you go.......

I have twin 120's and do go up to 1200 miles...... thinking of going to twin 150's
but how far do I go...... how ever far it is to the next CHEAP fuel stop..... why go as far as you can (1200miles) if the cheaper fuel is 500 miles away.....

    SMOKENCHOKE Thanks this.
