    Good Monday for everybody!

Everyone speaks out of one own experience, if I’m looking to invest less or more than $300k in the trucking industry is because I count on the experience of a pool of drivers, fleet owners and truck investors that have been on the business for decades. These not in the U.S. but in countries where Gas in more expensive, roads are not actually roads, driver have no formal education and profit margins for the same operational costs are much lower. You invest in what you think is secure and familiar to you, trucking is our choice.
All inputs, positive, negative, realistic, etc are of high value and I want to thank you for that.
The idea is really simple haycarter, My job to assure a higher profit by no lees than 25% by owning a fleet of (trucks, P/U, van, cabs or any commercial vehicle) in the U.S. in any industry (Cargo, Oil, Mining, Personnel, any…) vs. my investors countries margins. These people don’t know about stock market, food, medicine, etc. They know trucking and that’s what make them feel secure. Bottom line, we’ll hire as many people as needed to reduce a fiasco, as I mentioned before this is not an overnight get rich business.

I just invite you all to have an open mind and see things from a different position, in my personal case it has worked great for the last 10 years and I learned and became successful in things I never imagined.
    Cheers!

Medley and Hialeah are the same area. Ha! This man is not leaving his paid off $100K+ equipment investment parked on a side street anywhere, especially a side street in South Florida. Are you nuts? Or are you just trying to set up your bros at my expense?

There are too many out-of-work, hungry Cubans, Haitians, and Puerto Ricans that depend on being near their community to live. Miami's economy is dieing, but the non-English speakers cannot function outside of Miami-Dade. They will not leave to go find work outside of their network or their comfort zone; but many of them will strip a truck and trailer down for parts and not give a #### about anybody else.

Personally I know what I like and don't like.

I would build a nice shop and build some sweet gliders. I'd work alone. Imagine a 2014 389 Pete with a 3406C. yeh...

I wouldn't mind an investment partner. Have most of the tools, just need a shop and cash for the truck and components.

    Great idea.

Another area to consider is truck reconditioning. Imagine a complete tear down and rebuild to like new condition at a one-stop shop with lower cost than a glider.

300 k to spend in trucking I would have a business where I advance the owner operators with the money for freight bills and take a percentage of the gross . You have the $$$ that you ban wait on brokers to pay you you 30,60,90 days out. I am sorry if someone else has already suggested this did read the whole thread

The deal is most drivers that are new don't get how trucking once was, it was easy for a truck to gross $6,k a week and only spend $800 to do it, now you spend more than half your gross just to stay on the road.....
Best thing I ever did was get into trucking next best thing was when I decided to sale all my trucks and keep just one. Unless you have 75% of your own customer base you can't make much money off owning trucks with drivers in them, I couldn't for the life of me understand why I wasn't making money when most of my freight payed $4/+ a loaded mile.

I did did the same thing most people do I said "if I added a 2nd truck I could double my money" well i'm here to tell you from experience that never happens. To keep good drivers you have to pay them well I paid mine 27% of the load after paying taxes and workmen's Comp it was actually over 31%.

I'll tell you what I've been telling people for years all of the good drivers own their own trucks good drivers that understand the industry simply by their own trucks. Maybe things would have went different for me if I would've had the support from somebody else but I truly have no gameplayers with me and did everything on my own, i've never drove a truck for anybody I was 100% owner operator from the start learning lots of lessons the hard way. My wife gets pissed at me all the time for helping others out with how to get started and the best way to make money she says nobody helps you so why should you help others but I do..... Good luck with whatever you do but if it was me I would invest my money elsewhere!
