The rates of course are up this year,. Been in this new truck about 3 months maybe, so I will start to compile the numbers for comparison.. The newer trucks are costing about a hundred more per week, but the rates are well above the extra cost... Working at prime is basically like any company driver. Little more freedom on lease side, but not much. I can't deal with the stress that comes with running my own truck. I did that years ago, and drove myself sick, physically and mentally...

You put out EXACTLY what you experienced, in your situation. Not many will do that here, so my hats off to you for total & complete transparency for all.

Straight & to the point, no BS.

Take it for what it is. A single individuals ACTUAL experience.

This is a job not a business to me, just like any company driver. If I was in control, I would be bankrupt. Much better with me too have someone keep me from my self destructive behavior..

If you are happy & satisfied, all that counts.

No justification is needed to ANYONE.

By now, I am sure you are well aware of the opportunities you have before you now.

You put in your "dues" & you now know the score.

Just do whatever is best for you.

    You're a "survivor", Bud...... :biggrin_25525:

Thank you for the data. Solid numbers I'm counting 35 weeks not 33 but still solid. $1.82 all miles and $0.73 take home for running a very relaxed paced average of 2049 miles/week.

Last two weeks are just the settlements catching up. I actually received a couple thousand about a month into my vacation, when it finally closed out...

I see. You're about $15k-$20k ahead of where of company driver would be for the same amount of work.

How does your fuel work with them? Price wise? Do they offer a fuel surcharge? Etc? Insurance is what’s killing me out here. Insurance companies want $33k for a first year team operation. We even got quotes over $40k. LOL
