My two week old connex has started to not recieve very well. When I first tun it on, I f i turn the gain all the wa up and the squelch allthe way down I can hear background noise and weak signals. After about 3 or 4 minutes the sound will go away and all I can hear is very close(few hundred feet) signals. When this happens, I can see the meter's needle moving. Switching from nb/anl,anl, and off has no affect on this situation. THe radio still gets out fairly well and is reported to sound very clear. Can anyone help me out on this situation? I am not able to get to the cb shop for a while.
3300 hp won't recive

Andrew,
Since it's only two weeks old, I'd take/send it back for warranty. It's so new they *ought* to just give you a new one, because it sounds like you've got a part that was defective since new. One bad capacitor out of a manufacturing run could get put into a radio, make it through the very brief tuneup & "QA" at the factory, and still slip out.
I'd suggest you contact the selling dealer and tell him right away that you've had an early failure and see what he'll do for you, even if you can't get in for awhile.
Not worth troubleshooting a brand new radio if there's a no-charge recourse.
Hope that helps,
