34 Hr Restart

Instead of using 34 hour restart, I would usually sit at home.

 

it is legal to log 10 hours off duty, its exactly as you say no one NEEDS to be in the sleeper during there 10. I didn't say I was in the sleeper while I logged on duty. I stated I log my 10 hour break all off duty.

you are assuming I ever went in the sleeper, I didn't say that. you are like the dot man , assuming and fishing. I was off duty for my 10 hour break and logged it as such, which IS completely legal.

I didnt contradict my self, I said I logged it off duty, and if asked, like ia m telling you now , I was off duty for those ten hours. which is completely legal. I stay in motels quite a bit , I also have family and visit them whenever I am in their area. you have somehow assumed I even have a sleeper on my tractor.

 

i've been known to claim my 10 off duty. specially if i'm going to be parked longer then 10. haven't been hassled yet.

i think you're less likely to be hassled with a 10 off duty, then you are with a 10 sleeper. you won't get hassled off duty, but you seem to get hassled claiming all that time in the sleeper. when they know darn well that you weren't.

not to long ago, one poster on here stated his harrassment for claiming 34 in the sleeper. at home. ROFL. this was before the now suspended 34 requirement kicked in..

 

FA SHOW! I worked for FSA in Minot. Yeah, that was way over rated. I went to hauling fuel. Man, that's a cake job. One of my coworkers would complain about only getting $18/hr to wait at the refinery to load for 6 or 7 hours. I would laugh at him and walk away. I used to sleep for 20-30 minutes at a time. I miss it so much. That 1-5 rule screwed with my Tuesday route at FSA. I left at 2:30 before the rule. I quit when I was told I couldn't start til 5. That would have meant that I wouldn't get home til 9:30 or 10 that night. Which meant I would start my Wed route 3 hours late. Yeah, that was too much.
