I'd have to agree road dog is a conversation about trucking, with people that have no idea what it is like to be a trucker. There are the exceptions but for the most part they are full of ####....

That's been suspended. I wonder how much the ATA paid for that.

I guess enough of the ATA's members complained about having issues with appointments at grocery warehouses during those hours.NavigatorWife and pete1 Thank this. -
They are an ATA mouthpiece
-
There's also the ATA's malarkey about "leveling the playing field".
poppapump1332 and pete1 Thank this. -
Yeah because they have to babysit their "drivers", so the rest of us suffer.
My question is, why hire somebody you don't trust?NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
I bet the price of old Petes with 3406b's just went through the roof this week...
Junkyarddog5958 and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
My engine died on my 96 and my wife wanted it sold. I gave it away practically, not running. 379 with a Detroit? That would be big bucks now!pete1 Thanks this.

I have a friend who just sold two of them last month. An 86 359 and a 90 379.
Bet he's kicking himself right now...tsavory Thanks this. -
Sh, don't tell anybody, I found a 1999 w9L with a Detroit for cheap. I just need to find the money.pete1 Thanks this.

While I will agree that ELD's in no way improve safety, I would sure like to see a definitive study that are "proven" to cause more accidents. If it is "proven" then there has to be official stats that prove it. I would like to see some. Got a link? If there is some official study data that shows your contention to be true, it seems that the trial lawyers would be all over it like white on rice.sdaniel, tsavory, oldtrucker66 and 1 other person Thank this.
