Well i guess i stand corrected on the cooling system. The service manager at Peterbilt Of Fargo told me that the 625's had the bigger radiator and the overflow tank back against the firewall and that was one way to confirm if a truck is actually a factory 625...he made it sound as if the 435 to 550's didn't. I work with 2 other acerts and mine is the only one that has it located on the firewall. Mine is serial number MXS49373.

I assure you that the compression, camshaft, injectors, and turbo's is correct information. Sorry the coolant system info. was not correct.

I have seen a Cat shop sell 6 rebuilt injectors to a guy because they were "in there" and the labor was the same as putting your old ones back in. 2 of the mexican rebuilts were bad and resulted in more downtime.

I guess it all depends on the money situation and as stated how long does he plan to keep it. On our fleet I like the while imin there phrase. I dont heve to pay bills though. I just had a 5ek come in with liner problem. Took them out, bought new liners then had the pistons and rods bead blasted, checked, reringed, and repacked. Then did rest ofinframw. Im with previous post. Check deck close...and I bet as kurt said you probably have some pitting on the other liners even at that milage. Pull all and at least inspect..
