Also, don't stop at the weigh stations, those are only for new aged trucks with electronic logs and such. Old trucks drive skinny roads.

Pressure tested charged air cooler, 30 lbs and was at 29 20 minutes later. All good there. Here are pics of my AFR diaphragm. There was some oil when I pulled out the assembly. Hope that's normal. Diaphragm looked decent. No tears or cuts. I'll upload more. I flipped it up to inspect for cuts

So I posted my last comment before reading this post. There was a small.stream of oil.as soon as I took the first cover off. Not immense amounts but considering the size of the chamber it was substantial. Everything lined up good and no bad seals or gaskets I saw. I had the local Pete dealer leave a few diaphragms outside for me. I plan on throwing a new one in tomorrow. Do I have a shot of this helping to fix my oil leak

Over the years I have changed a bunch of those diaphragms. Sometimes I have changed the whole assembly just to rule out any issue with the afrc valve. Other times I've changed just the diaphragm. To be honest that sucker could have a pin hole in it and you would have a difficult time seeing it. Most of the small pin holes start around the seam, then they become slices. So yeah you have a shot, but also be prepared to dig further. It's worth it to change diaphragm first, because it is a cheap and easy fix if that's the issue. Fingers crossed.

I really appreciate the input bud. I'm going to try and post more pics as I learn more and work on my 2 b models. I'll surely let everyone know how it goes.

Also took off the clamp on the exhaust side of the turbo. It was almost just hand tight and the clamp had black exhaust the whole way around. You can kind of see in this pic

My mechanic buddy told me to follow the steel hose to the back of the fuel pump and that's where I could find my AFR valve and diaphragm.
