Wanting to replace the original turbo with a 177148. Priced one at Pete and seen several different sellers on the internet. Prices anywhere from $2,100 down to $1,200. Descriptions didn’t specify but are some new and some reman? If you got a preferred supplier, who do you use?

I buy most of that kind of stuff through Spencer diesel and I priced one recently for a b model…not sure if it’s the same pn but a brand new borg Warner was right around 1000.Feedman, Oxbow and mile marker 27 Thank this.

Be cautious, some of those on the internet are Chinese knock offs. You want a Genuine Borg Warner.
-
If everything is equal that significantly cheaper than Pete.

Called Spencer’s and I gave them the part number and he said that was for +500hp and it was $3k. He also said he carried the next size down, that was for 425/460hp for $2,400. Genuine Borg Warner.

I rather run the 460 turbo as the 177148. It lights a little slow but a B model should. The 177148 just seems to run out of air on the top side it seems

It’d be going on my dump truck, with pup. That kinda driving, being fairly local and more stop and go, would that make it more conducive for the 460 turbo? Do you by chance know the part# for the 460 turbo?

Wow… I didn’t know my discount was that good or maybe that’s a cashy one for some reasonOxbow Thanks this.
