24 and yes.
-
I wouldn't advance a 24 degree pump a half a hole but different strokes for different folks.
-
Suppose I can agree with that though.
-
I agree, my 7FB runs the best with the timing set pin to pin, pretty much each series after the timing started to be retarded, I have found a few pump cams that are 18 and 24 degrees that will fit the 5887/5888 C model pumps and accept the 7FB timing advance.
Cat currently doesn't have any of these available right now and at $2100 it's not like they should be running off the shelf. The only reason I bring that up is because there are C model nozzles that flow more than any B model nozzle available. -
You are correct wore out. This is a peec manual that has some interesting info and if anybody needs to troubleshoot one. I still run a 4ck peec and runs good to this day.

I've seen a few members on this site and the other site go with this cylinder pack/nozzle combo but they never make an in depth follow up, I'd really like to hear one
-
You can look at Ring Power in Florida at their used gen sets. There is a Cat 3406 set at 450 hp. I will keep looking for the info I think exists.

Yes, and strictly listed as carb certified. Only place in SIS that the infamous 0R6051 shows being used.
