How do I know what nozzles I currently have? I've also herd some guys talking about or-8785 nozzles what are your thought on those nozzles?
-
-
Ill look at them this weekend if I can find a tool to get them out.
-
0r-8785 nozzles are meant for use with the 14.5:1 aluminum piston, they are not a match for the 14.6.
-
Okay. Ill double check my piston to see what I have for sure. I have 2 sets of pistons. I posted a picture of the two sets I have. I fairly certain I have a set of the pistons you mentioned earlier. I'm buying new for sure. Shame really the one set only has 10k on them before the truck was wrecked.

You likely don't, that 10r1439 pack is a two piece design with a steel crown.
-
Nope one piece aluminum jobs. Whats the benefit of the steel crown? Handle heat better? I know in the 2 cylinder deere world cast pistons made more torque . I'm sure isn't the reason for using them in a cat engine.
