3406e 40 pin ecm

I have a 2000 6nz 475 w/9 speed (yeah I know it was like that when I bought it).
Do I need different transmisson before I get you to do ecm upgrade?

To be a 475 hp engine the transmission is rated at a minimum of 1650 FT/LBS of torque

My brother has a 1650 torque transmission in his own truck with a 6NZ engine with the big 600 hp file and extra fuel in it and hasn't had a problem. It comes down to the driver and how he shifts and drives the truck in this situation that determines transmission life with higher power levels. My own truck produces close to 4000 Ft/LBS of torque and I've never had a transmission failure.

HANEY.........I am buying a 362 to build into a racecar trailer puller. 53 foot featherlite>>>>>> Trailer and cargo is about 20000 plus truck..300wb 36 inch sleeper single axle truck 3.08 rearend... 3406e super 10 speed..the salesman says it is 425hp..I was told CAT rated them at 435....Mr.Haney can you do an ecm for this truck send it to where im buying they will send you mine back as core.. charge me for both untill you get your core???? Whats the interchange on cat ecm's? I've got a 99 pete with a 2ws 550 with a throttle controll issue, I've tried a tps but no change. i wanted to swap the ecm with another one from another 99 2ws, only a 475 rating, just to see if it fixed it before buying an ecm.

These two ECM's will interchange with no problems. Any ECM from a 2WS, 6NZ, MBN, 1MM, 7CZ will interchange with each other for testing. The power rating might not be what you want it to be, but you will be able to take it for a test ride to determine if the orginal ECM is the problem.
