    2ws is the big boy. 15.8 liter, vs 5EK 14.8 liter. So I've just learned.

    No a 2ws is a 14.6 just the first of the 70 pin ecms.

    The ONLY 15.8 liters were serial# 5ds, 1mm, and 7cz. They reclassified the 7cz as a c-16 but the same parts as the 15.8 liters.

    Hold on a minute. I thought the 3406 was pushrod engine? And c15 and c16 and so on, is overhead cam?

    The only pushrod 3406 engines are the mechanical A, B and C engines. A c-15 is basicly a 14.6. The overhead cam engines started with the 5ek then 6ts,1lw, 2ws mbn,6nz. 5ds, 1mm 7cz are the only 15.8. then bxs acert, mxs acert, nxs acert and last of all the infernal spd. Which are 15.2

    What the hell I am lost. I believed all 3406 were push rod.
    So what about an Franken push rod build?

    Yep, you can install a c-16 or acert crank in the early models along with the correct liners and rods and pistons.
