Hello everyone
It’s my first post here and I can’t seem to figure out my question after extensive research.
I have low HP 3406e(2ws08414) with a 1439153 camshaft. One of my injector lobes is starting to get worn down. I ordered a replacement camshaft through YNG LLC. They sent me 1390538 camshaft which is rated for the higher hp arrangements. They said that they bet their left nut on it that it will work with no problems. On the contrary the cat dealer say that these cams don’t interchange, but they don’t have info on how they differ . What will happen if I put the
1390538 into 1439153 engine arrangement?

the difference between the available arrangements of 2WS and 5EK
software, cam and injectors for different 550hp arrangements.
turbo on his unit is a 0000 650hp borg warner so that is up to the task.
if you want to PM it that's fine. hes only making 30psi boost (normally they go 38/40psi) with the 550hp file. even if he turns the 8501/23/57/2.82kg/min injectors up to flow that of a standard 8502/24/3.07kg/min its still gutless only putting 460hp to the ground and pyro doesn't go past 430 deg C
current cam 1361157

The current cam P/N for the one you listed is a 187-9381. It is used in 5EK upper HP settings with 58's/8502 injectors. The flash file you listed is for Pre-low NOx 1LW 550/1850 file that would use 57's/8501 inj and a 139-0537 cam. Only specs Cat gives on cam is actual lift and only difference is of two cams is 0.001 lift on injector lobe, but I bet shape and rise of injector ramp is different and duration and lobe separation angle could be different on intake and exhaust. If you have 58's/8502 in it, have you tried the 170-8132 5EK 550/1850 file. This way injectors, cam, and ecm flash match.
