3406e camshaft ??

The specs I looked up are showing a nice injector lobe lift compared to your stock cam. The intake and exhaust are the same, but most of all cams are the same on this spec. The thing I can't look up is duration or lobe seperation, I also don't know what engine this was used in besides a 3406E...........maybe somebody with SIS can help out with this

 

Are you sure thats the right number? Its not listed on Cat SIS or TMI.

 

Ok, found it, you've got the right cam. 1309709 is the part number of the cam, 1309710 is the part number of the group (cam and dowel pin thats in the front of it) since cat doesn't sell the cam without the dowel pin the cam number 1309709 doesn't technically exist, weird huh... so that number is only used by cat for manufacturing purposes. Find this same thing sometimes with timing gears, cat dont list a number for the bearing in the gear separatetly but if you press out the bearing there'll be a cat number on it, when you look up that number it doesn't exist.

 

Hi swaan,first post on the forum,have been reading info on cats since fall when I bought a 475 6nz,have been talking to DDS on ecm and will get one from him shortly,still looking for 58's, bigger turbo, and if you have A marine cam I'm intrested and if a moderator could pm contact info very much appreciated.And hey what a incredably awsome site,so much good advice and comments to keep the wheels rolling and get awsome perfomance out of a C-15 I am soooo looking forward to get my engine up a couple pony's,keep the info commin .
