if it is an older e-model original head it probably doesnt. thats a good thing. but if you have cat work the head they will cut the relief cuts into it unless you tell them not to. i got lucky and the boy i bought my 2ws off of had a head that didnt have the cuts. so hopefully i wont have anymore issues with headgaskets.
-
How are you suppose to use the older style gasket that has the isolator around the oil drain port if it has relief cuts in it? You'd think cat would know that...
-
older style head not gasket. (edit) sorry what I meant to say was a head that was found before cat put the relief cuts in it not an older style, my bad!
-
What where your issues?

How long should or does it take to remove head off of a 3406E
-
3 to 4 hours if you know what you are doing. It takes me just shy of 3 on mine
Opendeckin Thanks this. -
Yeah i was thinking something like that. Mine is in the shop right now and it took them roughly 9 hrs to get it off
Opendeckin Thanks this. -
It's either 8 or 10 hour job book time to r&r a head on an e model. They must of been real slow
Opendeckin Thanks this. -
They are extremely slow and they probably going by book time and charging me for it as well
