Can anyone tell me what my part numbers mean? Cam is 222-3995 good or bad cam? Injectors are 229-5919.

Both are C-15 MBN P/N. The cam is similar to the 435 UP 6NZ cam, but has a bump for pilot injection. The injectors flow the same as the common 10R0957/10r8501 used in many applications that use 550HP flash, but have different tip design for emissions. Good flash file and then turbo helps the MBN's the most.

the 550 ACERT injectors have the same size tip as 6NZ 8501 injectors. but with the dual spring block and rapid pulse width ending they slow less than 8501. the ACERT instantly drops inj PW if viewed on an oscilloscope. 6NZ inj PW tapers off leaving the injector open slightly longer delivering a greater fuel mass.

fitting 3.0 tips to the ACERT injectors in an ACERT will deliver the same fuel mas as 8501's in a 6nz.

doing that and mechanically adding a little more fuel the ECM doesn't know about really wakes them up and gets them on boost much faster

Ok guys little update. So I've got an mbn with fresh rebuild. All stock. Runs great except I need to buy stock in pilot. So tomorrow I am flashing ecm with 6nz pre box. I will be installing fuel temp wire, and turbo wire. Not trying to get stupid with hp. Just want better mileage. So please if I'm missing something or dont need to do something let me know. Thank everyone that has been helping me out.

Ultimately 2ws or 6nz camshaft and injectors would be better for what your trying to achieve there. Your going in the right direction with at least the 6nz tune . Also there is no such thing as a 6nz lownox tune. Just get a good custom flash file from diesel control service.I wouldn't bother with the wire mods. With the 6nz tune you dont need the electronic wastegate anymore. You can run a borgwarner non wastegated turbo.

Also if you want to keep your warranty which is valid to 2021... best leave the flash alone

sing a fuel temp or boost pressure resistor to add fuel is bad. it only adds duration to the pulsewidth which is far from ideal.

putting 10r8502 injectors in place of the 10r8501 injectors with a flash file suited to 8501s is the best way to add fuel. it puts the extra fuel in nice and fast and in the suitable combustion window. stretched pulse widths on std injectors tend to still be adding fuel as the piston is miles past TDC and can even wash the bore.hence stretched PW on standard injectors as is done with 4242 or 9969 or 699 9 trim files will generally produce some black smoke from the stacks..... not because big HP (fist pumps) but because the fuel is going in so late that its going out the turbo only half burnt which fundamentally is wasting it.

as an exaggerated example your far better off with 50% injectors and 30% of the pulsewidth removed to add a total of 20% more fuel than you are just adding 20% pulsewidth to standard injectors.
