I'll be brief and to the point, go get that truck, RIGHT NOW! 359's, in ANY condition are todays "hot button", and you simply can't go wrong. 20 years ago, I bought this '85 daycab for $7g's, so the price here seems legit. Seriously, if you don't grab it, someone else will, and since you found it, I'd love to see have it. I was a fool to get rid of mine.![]()

Thanks again for all the info this is exactly why I made an account here. I called the owner back and I’m going over to start it when it warms up a bit after this week. We are supposed to get an “artic blast” this coming weekend and week.
I’ll take some pictures then.201 Thanks this. -
The truck is not advertised anywhere for sale not even a sign on the window. Just up a little back road. But I will take your advice and not fool around. Thank you.
201 Thanks this. -
Went over yesterday to check out the truck again. The front brakes have already been swapped from the wedge style so that’s a big plus. All of the cab mounts are solid they actually look like they may have newer bushings. Also the cab roof is solid. It has the holes for the cab lights and horn but no corrosion. He guaranteed it to run, with that being said I went ahead and locked in the deal. I will have to completely restore the interior, install a 5th wheel, tires, install wet line ( I already have a spare), then I’m sure all the little things like hoses/ air lines etc that will pop up. She’s definitely rough around the edges but I think it’s a solid foundation.

Nice, nice NICE!!! Oh, it looks rough now, but you found a diamond in the rough. Nobody said it would be easy. Did it have a sleeper? I see the hole, and what kind of headlights?( I like the double round) I think these had a wood floor, might check that, the grill looks good, I think the fuse box is behind the clutch pedal, and will certainly need attention, also what I did on mine, there's like 90 miles of wiring, if something doesn't work, just run a new wire. It will takes weeks to find the short. Keep us posted, looks good

It did have a sleeper. They just covered the hole with plexiglass. Maybe one day I can find one of the smaller flat top sleepers to put on it. I’m going to replace the wood floor it’s just a piece of plywood. The headlights are round but I honestly didn’t pay attention to it they were double or not. Going to be no shortage of elbow grease put into it but I believe it will be worth it.

20 mins for that guy to put the glass back in woulda saved you from a $1000 in damage.
Running or not $5000 tops is all it’s worth.
I do not NOT pay owners for their negligence. He shoulda preserved it better. That interior is trash because he didn’t spend a little time sealing the cab up to keep it’s true value up.Last edited: Feb 8, 2021

That's water over the dam now, no sense in pointing that out. I think it's still a great find, $6grand is peanuts today, as much as it kills me to say so. I wouldn't lose it over a grand, that's for sure.650cat425 Thanks this.

They really ain't worth what most seem to think. The standard hoods are a dime a dozen. Now a little window EXHD is worth some coin. To be honest there are better trucks cheaper every day. That said if it's what the OP wants by all means go for it
